## October changes

### IDFC FIRST: the points cut that was reversed

IDFC FIRST first told cardholders on 9 September that most cards would stop earning reward points on international spends. Its notice of 13 September reverses that: reward points continue on international transactions alongside zero forex markup. If you read early coverage saying points end on 26 October for most IDFC cards, that is out of date.

Some co-branded cards still change. IDFC's IndiGo card page says it earns 1 BluChip per INR 100 on international spends from 26 October 2026, down from 3. Card comparison sites report that the IDFC Ashva cuts its international rate from 5X to 2X on the same date; check the card page if you hold it.

**Action:** If you hold the IndiGo card and travel often, compare it with the cards in our [zero forex markup guide](/articles/credit-cards/best-zero-forex-credit-cards-india).

### OneCard: higher late fees from 11 October

According to BOBCARD's key fact statement, as reported by CardAdvisor, late fees now apply as follows when the minimum due is not paid:

| Total due | Old fee | New fee |
|---|---|---|
| INR 1,001-5,000 | INR 500 | INR 700 |
| INR 5,001-10,000 | INR 1,000 | INR 1,000 |
| INR 10,001-15,000 | INR 1,000 | INR 1,100 |
| INR 15,001-25,000 | INR 1,000 | INR 1,200 |
| Above INR 25,000 | INR 1,250 | INR 1,300 |

**Action:** Set up autopay for at least the minimum due. Better still, pay in full; see [the minimum-due trap](/articles/credit-cards/credit-card-fees-and-minimum-due-trap).

### Jupiter Edge+: 10% now needs INR 15,000 a cycle

The 10% rate (50 Jewels per INR 100) on named brands now needs total spend above INR 15,000 in the billing cycle. Below that you earn 5 Jewels per INR 100, about 1%. CSB Bank's notice gives 5 October; Jupiter's page says 10 October.

**Action:** If you spend less than INR 15,000 a month, a flat cashback card may now pay more.

### Amex Platinum and Centurion, SBM ZET and novio

Ace by Times Prime ends on Amex Platinum and Centurion cards on 20 October, and Amex pauses new supplementary card applications from 27 October. On SBM ZET, the late fee becomes 5% of the outstanding (minimum INR 50, maximum INR 1,000) from 23 October, and the window in which a INR 499 closure fee applies widens to two years. travelwith.cc reports that the SBM novio card will charge INR 499 a year from 23 October.

## November changes

### Axis Bank: movie offers need INR 25,000 of spend from 1 November

Axis's offer terms say that from 1 November 2026 you need INR 25,000 of settled spend in the previous three calendar months to use the movie benefit. That covers the District buy-one-get-one offer on Select, Privilege, MyZone and IndiGo Axis Premium, and the BookMyShow 10% discount (up to INR 100) on Neo. New cards are exempt for the issue month plus three months, but upgrades do not count as new. EMI purchases count only as each instalment is billed, and settlement can take up to five working days. From 15 November, complimentary memberships on Reserve, Magnus, Select, Burgundy Private, Olympus and Samsung Infinite renew only if you opt in, according to CardAdvisor.

**Action:** Check your last three months of spend before booking tickets, and opt in to any membership you use.

### MakeMyTrip ICICI: zero markup from 10 November

From 10 November the forex markup drops from 0.99% to 0%, and the dynamic currency conversion fee goes. But international spends outside MakeMyTrip stop earning myCash, and new myCash expires after 24 months. CardAdvisor reports that the Signature and Platinum variants are excluded.

### American Express: 15 November

Amex moved several changes from 11 October to 15 November 2026, according to card blogs citing Amex's own notice:

- Membership Rewards points are kept separately for each basic card, so you can no longer pool them.
- The 50% renewal fee waiver on the Membership Rewards Credit Card (MRCC) for INR 90,000-INR 1,49,999 of annual spend ends. The full waiver at INR 1.5 lakh stays.
- Milestones are counted by posting date, not transaction date.
- An overdue card stops earning and redeeming points.
- Late fees are based on total due, from INR 500 to INR 1,250.

**Action:** Redeem or transfer points on cards you plan to close before 15 November, and check whether you will hit INR 1.5 lakh on the MRCC.

### PNB EaseMyTrip

From 1 November the cash advance fee is 2.5% or INR 400. Cash withdrawals on a credit card are expensive at any fee; avoid them.
