## Subscription: why allotment odds are low

Final-day figures as reported by The Economic Times and Moneycontrol on 29 October 2026:

| Category | Times subscribed |
|---|---|
| QIB (excluding anchors) | 200.25x |
| NII (HNI) | 559.20x |
| -- big NII (above INR 10 lakh) | 592.83x |
| -- small NII (INR 2-10 lakh) | 491.94x |
| Retail | 128.36x |
| **Overall** | **241.22x** |

<div data-viz="bars" data-id="bls-subscription-final"></div>

The retail portion has 59,50,000 shares, which is enough for at most **59,500** retail allottees of one lot each. With bids for about 128 times that, a computerised lottery picks the winners. If most people bid for one lot, roughly **1 in 128** gets shares. Bidding 13 lots does not improve your chance of getting the first lot.

## Where to check allotment status

| Where | Link | What you need |
|---|---|---|
| Registrar: KFin Technologies | [ipostatus.kfintech.com](https://ipostatus.kfintech.com/) | Select "BLS Polymers Limited", then PAN, application number or demat account |
| BSE | [bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx](https://www.bseindia.com/investors/appli_check.aspx) | Issue type "Equity", issue name, then application number or PAN |
| NSE | [NSE IPO bid verification](https://www.nseindia.com/invest/check-trades-bids-verify-ipo-bids) | PAN, application number and the issue symbol |

### Step by step on KFin

1. Open [ipostatus.kfintech.com](https://ipostatus.kfintech.com/).
2. Choose **BLS Polymers Limited** from the list.
3. Pick **PAN**, **application number** or **demat account**.
4. Enter it, fill in the captcha and submit.
5. Save a screenshot showing shares applied for and allotted.

## What happens next: timeline

| Date (2026) | What happens |
|---|---|
| Fri 30 Oct | Basis of allotment |
| Mon 2 Nov | UPI/ASBA blocks released for those not allotted; shares credited to allottees' demat |
| Tue 3 Nov | Shares list on NSE and BSE; trading starts at 10:00 am IST after the pre-open session |
| 29 Nov | Lock-in ends on 50% of anchor shares |
| 28 Jan 2027 | Lock-in ends on the remaining anchor shares |

Anchor investors were allotted 51,00,000 shares (INR 76.50 crore) on 26 October. Lock-in expiries can add supply to the market, which is worth knowing if you hold the shares.

## UPI mandate and unblocking of funds

| Result | What happens to your money | When |
|---|---|---|
| Allotted one lot | INR 15,000 debited; any extra blocked amount released | ~2 Nov |
| Not allotted / rejected | Full amount unblocked | ~2 Nov |

## If you are not allotted

- **Nothing to do.** Money unblocks automatically.
- **If still blocked after 3 Nov,** contact your bank first, then KFin Technologies (toll-free 1800 309 4001, or the contact details on the status page).
- **You can still buy after listing** at the market price, which may be well above INR 150. Buying a stock after a big listing pop is a different decision from applying in the IPO.

## If you are allotted

- Shares should show in your demat on or about **Monday 2 November** and can be sold from **Tuesday 3 November**.
- Selling within 12 months is a short-term capital gain; see [tax on IPO listing gains](/articles/ipo/ipo-listing-gains-tax).

## Grey market premium: unofficial

The grey market premium (GMP) is an **unofficial, unregulated** price in informal trades before listing. The Economic Times reported a GMP of about **INR 68** on 30 October 2026 (around 45% over the INR 150 issue price). GMP is not a forecast, can change quickly, and has no legal standing; the actual listing price is set by the exchanges' pre-open session on 3 November.
