## Jio IPO price band

The IPO committee of Jio Platforms' board approved the price band on 14 October 2026, according to Reliance's disclosure to the exchanges:

| Item | Value |
|---|---|
| Floor price | INR 1,065 per share |
| Cap price | INR 1,119 per share |
| Face value | INR 10 per share (floor is 106.50 times face value, cap is 111.90 times) |
| Employee discount | INR 54 per share, for eligible employees in the employee reservation portion |
| Final issue price | Not yet disclosed. Set after bidding closes on 23 October 2026 |

Most individuals bid at the **cut-off price**, which means "whatever the final price turns out to be". When you do, your bank blocks money at the cap price of INR 1,119 per share. If the final price is lower, the difference is released after allotment.

## Jio IPO lot size

The minimum bid is **12 shares**, and you can bid only in multiples of 12. One lot costs INR 13,428 at the cap and INR 12,780 at the floor.

### Lots and amounts by category

All amounts below are our calculations from the price band and the category limits in the RHP.

| Category | Limit in the RHP | Lots at INR 1,119 (cut-off) | Shares | Amount blocked |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Retail (RII), minimum | 1 lot | 1 | 12 | INR 13,428 |
| Retail (RII), maximum | Up to INR 2 lakh | 14 | 168 | INR 1,87,992 |
| RIL shareholder, maximum | Up to INR 2 lakh | 14 | 168 | INR 1,87,992 |
| Small NII (sNII), minimum | More than INR 2 lakh | 15 | 180 | INR 2,01,420 |
| Small NII (sNII), maximum | Up to INR 10 lakh | 74 | 888 | INR 9,93,672 |
| Big NII (bNII), minimum | More than INR 10 lakh | 75 | 900 | INR 10,07,100 |
| Employee, first-stage cap | INR 2 lakh net of discount | 15 at INR 1,065 | 180 | INR 1,91,700 |
| Employee, maximum | INR 5 lakh net of discount | 39 at INR 1,065 | 468 | INR 4,98,420 |

**At the floor price** (INR 1,065), a retail investor could fit 15 lots (INR 1,91,700) under INR 2 lakh. But retail investors, RIL shareholders and employees who want to bid at the cut-off have to size the bid at the cap, so 14 lots is the practical retail maximum.

### Bidding more lots does not mean more shares for retail

If the retail portion is oversubscribed, the RHP's rule is that each successful retail applicant gets at least one lot, subject to availability, and the rest is allotted proportionately. In heavily oversubscribed issues that usually means one lot each, by lottery. Bidding 14 lots does not improve your odds of getting the first lot. Our guide to [how IPOs work in India](/articles/ipo/how-ipos-work-india) explains why.

## How big is the issue at each end of the band?

From the price band advertisement, after the employee discount:

| | At INR 1,065 | At INR 1,119 |
|---|---|---|
| Fresh issue | up to 27 crore shares | up to 27 crore shares |
| Issue size | up to INR 28,728.29 crore | up to INR 30,187.65 crore |
| Post-issue market cap | INR 9,80,761.78 crore | INR 10,30,490.55 crore |
| P/E on FY26 diluted EPS | 31.71x | 33.31x |

Some reports quote INR 30,213 crore. That is 27 crore shares multiplied by INR 1,119, before the INR 54 discount on employee shares. The company's own figure is INR 30,187.65 crore.

## Money you need in the account

- Keep the full amount in the bank account linked to your UPI ID or ASBA application. It stays blocked, not debited, until allotment.
- The block is released on or about 27 October 2026 if you get nothing, per the RHP timetable.
- If you hold a [savings account that pays interest](/banking), the blocked money keeps earning interest until it is debited.

Step-by-step bidding is in [how to apply for the Jio IPO](/articles/ipo/how-to-apply-jio-ipo).
