**Should you invest in the EAAA IPO?** We will not tell you to buy or skip it. This page sets out the case for and against, using the RHP's own numbers, and the questions worth answering before you bid. It is part of the [EAAA IPO DRHP and RHP breakdown](/articles/ipo/eaaa-ipo) and our [IPO guides](/ipo).

> **Educational content, not investment advice.** This page explains the issue using the company's own offer documents and exchange filings. tldr.money is not a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and nothing here is a recommendation to apply for, buy, sell or hold any security. IPO investments can lose money, including on listing day. Read the [red herring prospectus](https://www.bseindia.com/corporates/download/387043/IPO%20Open/6RHPsigned_20261022142231.pdf) before you bid, and speak to a SEBI-registered adviser if you need personal advice.

## The facts in one table

| | EAAA IPO |
|---|---|
| Price band | INR 1,585 to INR 1,665 per share |
| Market value at the cap | about INR 10,765 crore |
| P/E at the cap | about 40.6x (aggregator figure from RHP FY26 EPS; verify in RHP) |
| Latest disclosed revenue / profit | FY26 total income ~INR 964 cr; PAT ~INR 265 cr (aggregator summary of RHP) |
| Return on net worth (as disclosed) | RoNW ~26% for FY26 (aggregator KPI table -- verify in RHP) |
| Type of issue | 100% offer for sale (OFS); no fresh issue |
| Main use of money | None to the company (100% OFS to selling shareholder) |
| Dividends paid so far | Check RHP dividend history; not summarised here as a recommendation signal |

## The case for

1. **Business is not a fresh-story microcap.** Aggregator summaries of the RHP describe a 17+ year alternative investment franchise with large AUM across real assets and private credit, plus an operating subsidiary for asset management.
2. **Disclosed profitability.** Restated FY26 PAT around INR 265 crore on total income around INR 964 crore (verify in RHP) shows an earnings base, not a pre-revenue listing.
3. **Anchor participation.** Exchanges were intimated that 21,62,161 shares were allotted to anchors at INR 1,665 (~INR 360 crore) on 23 October 2026 -- useful as a book-building datapoint, not a guarantee of listing gains.
4. **Clear lot maths for retail.** One lot is INR 14,985 at the cap; max retail under INR 2 lakh is 13 lots / INR 1,94,805.

## The case against

1. **100% OFS.** You are buying from a selling shareholder; the operating company does not receive IPO proceeds for growth or deleveraging.
2. **Valuation.** Aggregator P/E near 40x at the cap on FY26 EPS can look expensive relative to growth you personally underwrite -- use the RHP peer table, not this sentence, as the comparison source.
3. **Share-count / issue-size noise.** BSE shows 52,99,684 shares under "Issue Size - No. of Shares" while aggregators cite ~72.07 lakh for the full OFS. Uncertainty that is not resolved in the RHP is a reason to pause, not to invent a bridge.
4. **Sector and liquidity risk.** Alternative AUM, fee income and InvIT/credit cycles can move with rates and exits; listing-day floats in OFS issues can also be volatile.
5. **We are not publishing GMP or "should you apply last day" pages for this issue** until facts are solid -- do not treat aggregator GMP headlines as data.

We have not published a separate EAAA risk-factors page; read the RHP risk-factors chapter, and peer compares if relevant.

## Questions to answer before you bid

1. **Why am I applying: listing gains or a long-term holding?**
2. **Do I already own this business** (directly, via a parent, or via an index fund)?
3. **Can I afford to see it fall below the issue price?**
4. **Would I buy it on the open market at this price?**
5. **Which category am I in?** Your chance of allotment depends on it. NII applicants should read the [HNI quota guide](/articles/ipo/eaaa-ipo-hni-nii-quota) first.

## Signals while the book is open

- **Anchor allocation** (if any): who bought, how much.
- **Live subscription** by category.
- **GMP, with caution:** unofficial and unregulated.

## If you do apply

- Bid only money you will not need for at least the allotment period, and preferably far longer.
- Retail investors: decide on the number of lots early, not on the last evening.
- Remember tax: profits from selling within 12 months are short-term. See [IPO listing gains tax](/articles/ipo/ipo-listing-gains-tax).
