Honest money guides for India — no jargon, no agenda

Who We Are

We're the friend who actually read the fine print

Most money advice in India is written by people who get paid when you click "buy." We're not those people. tldr.money exists to give you the same straight-talking breakdown you'd get from a financially savvy friend — minus the conflict of interest.

TL;DR

Our Motivation

Why we built this

Buying health insurance in India shouldn't require a law degree. But read most comparison sites and you'd think otherwise — walls of jargon, star ratings you can't explain, and a "recommended" badge that somehow always goes to whoever paid for it.

We got tired of it. So we built the site we wished existed: one that treats you like an adult, shows you the trade-offs honestly, and never buries the bad news in footnote 7.

The name says it all. TL;DR — "too long, didn't read" — is exactly the problem with financial content in India. Every guide on this site ends with a plain-English summary you can actually use.

Financial Transparency

How we make money (yes, we'll tell you)

We earn a small referral fee if you choose to buy through one of our recommended partners. But here's the thing — we only partner with companies we'd actually recommend anyway, like Ditto Insurance. No banner ads. No sponsored rankings. No "Top 10" lists where position 1 went to the highest bidder.

If a product is bad, we'll say it's bad. Our reputation is worth more to us than a commission cheque.

FAQ

A few questions you might have

No. We're not agents, we're not brokers, and no insurer funds this site. We write about them — we don't work for them.

We'd say yes, but of course we would. So here's what you can actually verify: we show our criteria, we explain our reasoning, and we flag the downsides of products we recommend. If something doesn't hold up, tell us.

Not yet. We started with health insurance and term life because they're the most confusing and the most important. Credit cards, loans, and investments are coming. We'd rather do fewer things well than everything badly.

Please tell us. Seriously. We'd rather be corrected than confidently wrong. Drop us a note at hello@tldr.money or use our contact form.
