Section 80D
A deduction for health insurance premiums, higher for senior-citizen parents.
Section 80D allows a deduction for health insurance premiums for your family and your parents, with a larger allowance when the parents are senior citizens, plus a small sub-limit for preventive check-ups. It mainly applies under the old regime.
